Cherokee Tale Reading Notes:
- A man had killed a deer
- Man returned to deer and saw an eagle feasting on it
- He killed the eagle and brought it back to have an Eagle Dance
- They were dancing and saw a strange warrior approach
- He told a story then yelled "Hi" and a rattler fell dead
- He did this again and again until all 7 rattlers were dead
- The eagle was his brother and that's why he killed the men
Notes: - 7 is a very important number in Cherokee culture
- research if it has something to do with the tribes
- think it is a lesson regarding nature and life as Cherokees have great respect for eagles
