Week 8 Comments and Feedback
- I think that overall I have received phenomenal feedback from my peers and class mates. I feel that there is certainly something to learn from every comment made on my posts. I have really enjoyed being able to get an outside perspective to better my stories. I feel that the feedback relating to the TAG structure is certainly the most effective. For one, it makes people feel good for the compliment given but also allows for criticism. While criticism is important, I think encouragement is just as imperative to the process.
- I feel that through other peoples writings I have learned to be a better writer overall. Additionally, I see certain ideas from others and it helps fuel me creatively. Often times, I can get writers block, but reading through others posts allow me to power through that. I think and hope that my feedback helps, as I attempt to find things others haven't yet pointed out; however, I wish I could give some better advice but I feel some people are significantly better writers than I am. As mentioned earlier, I attempt to use the TAG feedback process as I feel it is most effective.
- I feel like it is very important to get to know who your classmates are. Despite my classes often being over a 100 people, I try to make my best effort to get to know people. I have really enjoyed getting to know people and seeing how small the world really is. I have noticed I already knew one person in our class and have mutual friends of a couple others. I really also like my introduction, as it is a quick biography containing everything you need to know about me.
- Personally, I don't want to do anything to my introduction. On the other hand, I want to try to make my comment wall have more features as I feel it is rather blank right now. I am going to be exploring more options and looking at some tech tips later this week. I think that my responses are rather effective; however, I can always make them better. I will try to go more into detail on some of my upcoming ones in attempt to better my work and my classmates.
- I chose this photo of the cat because often times I look to my peers whenever I feel like I am in a dark place. When I say "Dark Place" I mean in relation to my writing. Often times I will lose motivation to be the best that I can be or (as mentioned earlier) run into writers block. I can always look to my peers in their posts or comments for inspiration or just to refresh my mind. I feel like this photo is representative of me, especially when I am having trouble writing.
