Week 8 Reading and Writing

First, I chose this image because it is the image of the first story in my portfolio. I feel like I have spent enough time on this story and it truly is my master piece thus far. Additionally, I chose this photo because I want to come back to this next week and see it as a reminder of how proud I am of that story.



Overall, I feel that everything is going very well as far as my writing and reading. I absolutely love the topics that I have chosen thus far and feel that they all are relevant to what I wanted to learn in this class. I really have enjoyed writing, but I find trouble being able to spend as much time on it as I want. Often times, I feel a bit rushed as a result of just having so many things going on during my semester; however, I feel like I am learning how to budget my time much better. Additionally, I feel that through reading strategies I have learned what to look for in relation to what the author is attempting to accomplish.


Looking in the future, I want to better manage my time. I have looked as some of the other time strategies and it is just a matter of me applying them. I feel that I often get lazy at times, so instead of trying to crank out stories in one sitting, I am going to take more breaks to further my creative ability. I am really hoping to go more in depth and one of my goals is to make a rhyming story. I am really excited for this, as I have mentioned before that I love poetry.
